Fitness for Work Assessments:
Our professionals can assist managers in meeting the occupational health and safety obligations specific to your workplace. We also assist managers in setting criteria for evaluating the health of employees relative to the specific requirements of their jobs.
Fitness to work evaluations can help to reintegrate employees who have been off work for an extended period of time due to illness or injury. In this way our health assessment services can help minimise time lost from work. After the assessment a report is issued to the employer subject to the principle of patient confidentiality.
Fitness for Work Assessments are performed in the following situations:
Change In Health Status: When an employee develops health problems that may be aggravated by existing working conditions. |
Change In Working Conditions Of Existing Job: When the existing working conditions have been significantly altered. |
Performance-Initiated Review: When health reasons are identified as a possible cause of poor job performance and the employer has requested a medical review. |
Continuing Sickness Absence: When an employee remains absent from work for a prolonged period. |
Return To Work: When an employee is returning to work after recovery from a serious illness or injury and the person's capability of performing the original job is not known. When an employee has returned to work at a modified job and is still undergoing therapy, rehabilitation or both. |
